About this campaign
The American Hero’s Scholarship was created in 2006 by the Mount St. Mary’s Class of 1986 on the occasion of their 20th Reunion, established in memory of deceased classmates. From the beginning, the purpose was clear and deeply meaningful: to support Mount students whose parents have served in the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement, or as Firefighters/First Responders. Thanks to the generosity of the Class of ’86 and friends over the past two decades, the fund has grown to more than $130,000. It now provides just under $5,000 annually to a deserving student who embodies the values of service, sacrifice, and commitment that the scholarship honors.
