About this campaign

Bill, Joel and the Murray Brothers first fell in love with the game at this 104 year old course in their backyard. They've helped us design this Special Edition Tee Shirt to help raise funds to preserve this cherished course, and most importantly, provide a path for local kids to go to college.

With partners like KemperSports, WGA/Evans Scholars, First Tee - Greater Chicago and Wadsworth Foundation, we are improving the course and building a new Chick Evans Caddie Academy and First Tee Youth Golf Campus to provide kids with summer jobs, caddie skills and life lessons.

For over 100 years, the land that winds through the Evanston and Wilmette communities along the shores of the North Shore Channel has been the perfect setting for golf and so much more. As we begin our next century, we’re asking for your much needed support. Proceeds from your tee shirt purchase will go towards the reimagination of the course, supporting new youth development programs, upgrading our facilities and supporting operations during the renovation. Canal Shores receives no public funds or taxpayer dollars, and is sustained solely on golf revenue, donations, and the sweat equity of committed volunteers. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization as deemed by the IRS and all donations are tax deductible.
