We’re proud to be participating at Muscle Walk Houston! Our team has partnered with MDA and together we are dedicated to empowering people living with neuromuscular disease to live life to the fullest potential.

Alcheri Stinson was born and raised in Galveston, TX to parents Alfred and Cherie Stinson. After receiving her diploma from Ball High School, she attended The Prairie View A&M University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Construction Science. After spending 10+ years in the oil and gas industry as a Project Controls Analyst, she is now utilizing her experience and knowledge at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Department of Facilities Planning, Design & Construction.

In April of 2014, Alcheri was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD). It is a group of rare conditions that cause weakness and wasting of the muscles in the arms and legs. Although there is no cure, Alcheri continues to push forward and live her best life the way God intended.
