National Coming Out Day Fundraiser

In 2019, Broad Spectrum hosted our first t-shirt fundraiser to benefit a local LGBTQ+ organization and show support for the School of Veterinary Medicine LGBTQ+ community on National Coming Out Day, 10/11/19. National Coming Out Day is an annually observed day for the LGBTQ+ community to honor their bravery in "coming out of the closet." Whether a person choses to come out or not, it is their choice and a difficult choice to make as we still live in a world where LGBTQ+ citizens suffer discrimination, hate, and violence for being who they are. Our original goal last year was to sell 50 shirts, and you all BLEW US AWAY by buying 153 shirts and raising $739.30 for PFLAG-Madison. For National Coming Out Day 10/11/20, we would love if everyone joined us by purchasing a shirt to benefit GSAFE and to show solidarity, and then post a picture wearing their shirt on social meeting with #NCOD, so our community knows they're supported even in a virtual world! You can also join in with anything rainbow themed. You are loved and we thank you for your support!
