About this campaign

New Wings Bird Rescue and Sanctuary provides at save, permanent home for all unwanted, abused and abandoned birds of all species. To assure that all birds that arrive at our Rescue and Sanctuary are healthy, every new comer must have a complete  Veterinarian examination and be tested for Avian diseases. This is for the protection of all current residence and the new birds as well.

New Wings Bird Rescue and Sanctuary was established in the summer of 2000 to offer a safe haven for all unwanted birds. We strive to provide the very best of foods, care and an enriched, healthy environment. Every bird receives regular Veterinarian care and daily personal contact. Our goal and desire is to rehabilitate and re-home birds into carefully, and thoroughly pre-screened forever homes.
In our clean, well lite Rescue, every bird receives lots of new toys for chewing and play, and opportunities to re-build trust in humans.  Each and every bird is worked with at their own pace and ability.
It is our primary mission to keep every bird healthy through regular Veterinarian care.  We wish to ensure every bird receives all necessary things to make their lives happy, safe and as stress free as possible. This includes suitable sized caging, abundant toys to chew, forge with and destroy, fresh foods daily and loving, patient human contact.

I share my home with 14 rescued parrots (see my "Welcome to the Bird House" column in Companion Parrot Quarterly) and know how high the vet bills can be! Good luck! I'll help spread the word!

So many birds need homes and adopting provides them with the forever home they need!!

Every single one of my now remaining birds are what I refer to as "previously owned birds" . Some came to us having turned almost feral but a gentle approach and making sure they felt safe has now made them loving family members, they trust again :-)

Because this is important to my dear friend Eva. At one time my parents had an African Grey Parrot that they could no longer take care of. They were blessed to have a family that was able to take on the responsibility of caring for it.

I think it's for a great & worthy cause. Plus, I want to show off my Friend, Eva's Art Work!
