About this campaign
As a new generation in Nigeria emerges, sufficiently removed from events such as the nation’s struggle for independence, the subsequent oil boom and other more glorious events that have historically defined Nigeria’s existence, it is critical that any painstaking improvements to the current socio-economic environment be underscored by an understanding of the values that are the bedrock of any free and equitable society where its people and their contributions are recognized and celebrated to secure the general empowerment necessary to create an environment that best represents our common aspirations.
In 2021, The Nigerian Nostalgia Project (NNP) is commencing a program of examining, and celebrating a selection of icons who have come to represent values that Nigerians may be inspirational and that deserve recognition and honor in our national consciousness.
We are producing and selling this overall program T shirt towards raising money ($50k goal ) to support the production of 12 Documentaries highlighting the values represented in the activism of the 12 individuals selected as Icons by NNP in 2021

NNP is doing amazing work of documenting Nigerian history
The NNP project makes sense, a lot of sense.
History and legacy is important. NNP works hard to documenting and sharing our history, it’s not an easy task and there has been a lot of rich information shared. I’m happy to assist in a tiny way
Please do not supply Fela Anikulapo-Kuti tee shirts. Any other icon is OK to supply. I prefer Gani Fawehinmi, or Yesufu or Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti. To support NNP.
Good cause
The list represents those I regard as the genuine heores of Nigeria. The Nigeria Nostalgia Project is doing an excellent job of documenting our true history.
