There are over 500 Million firearms, privately owned, in the USA. Firearms are the number one cause of death among children and adolescents (ages 1 to 19) in the United States, having surpassed motor vehicle crashes in 2020. These firearm fatalities include a combination of homicides, suicides, and unintentional shootings. Aren’t you tired of the gun violence that is killing so many? Don’t you wish you could do something more to stop it, other than sending your thoughts and prayers? By taking unwanted firearms out of circulation we are protecting citizens from harm. Specifically: 1) children for whom firearms are now the number one cause of death, 2) people in mental distress as studies indicate increased firearm access greatly increases suicide risk, and 3) the community at large as a high percentage of firearm crime is committed with stolen firearms.
