About this campaign

The Color It Purple Challenge is entering its 4th year. Color It Purple is a month-long campaign organized by the National Pancreas Foundation to raise awareness of pancreatic disease. Patients, families, and friends do something with Purple and share the photo or video on social media while challenging someone they know to, “Color It Purple”.

Color It Purple helps us provide hope for those suffering from pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer like Karen Hoffman Breath (NOLA), through funding cutting edge research, advocating for new and better therapies, and providing support and education for patients, caregivers, and health care professionals
Karen says, "I am a patient of Pancreatitis. PURPLE is my favorite color, my dance team’s color & the National Pancreatitis Foundation’s color. My dance team, The Dance Connection had the honor of performing in New Orleans at Rock-n-Bowl for their First Fundraiser in 2019. My faith, family & friends keep me going. No Time to Spare/Strike The Cause Stay purple strong!!! "

I found the NPF via its website, with its "safe" recipies and stories of other pancreatitis patients, in the peak of my own pancreatitis nightmare. People need to know the NPF exists...both for the hope it provides and the research it supports.
