About this campaign

one tough mother- Molly Lane
Molly and Jacob Lane III have been in Seattle since welcoming their baby, Kayuqtuq Aaron Donald Lane on August 6th, 2025. Kayuqtuk was born 10 weeks premature and only weighed 2lbs, 5oz. He was also born with Down Syndrome which caused him to have additional health issues. He has Hirschsprung's disease which led him to have surgery on his intestines at 3 months old. He was also born with two holes in his heart and received open heart surgery at 4 months old. He is currently 8 months old and has been hospitalized his entire life. He still needs a couple more surgeries to repair his intestines and insert a feeding tube. Because he was born early, he also has complications with his lungs. These complications caused his veins to his heart to narrow and also caused high blood pressure in his lungs. The doctors say that the combination of all his issues is rare. He is currently on breathing support and will likely need it for many months to come. Despite all the health problems Kayuqtuq has, he has continued to be a smiley and happy baby, winning the hearts of everyone who cares for him.

Molly and Jacob have been by baby Kayuqtuq's side the entire time and have had to endure being many miles away from the comforts of home, away from their older kids and away from the culture.

Now is your chance to support Molly as one tough mother, and purchase a t-shirt or sweater. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Molly and Jacob to help alleviate their financial burden of being away from home and caring for their baby.
