About this campaign
We are raising funds to help adopt and care for three bonded orphan baby horses that were rescued by Pure Thoughts Horse Rescue. This group saves horses that would otherwise be destroyed, abandoned or injured, providing medical treatment and rehabilitation prior to adoption. We are asking for your support to reach our goal of raising $1500 to help adopt and care for these beautiful
Each year finds a new batch of foals orphaned to support the nurse-mare surrogacy from the horse racing industry. Pure Thoughts Horse Rescue, a 501(3)(c) registered non profit organization, saves as many as 12 to 20 orphaned foals a year and rehabilitates the babies until they can eat on their own and find a forever home for each animal.
This year, they have rescued 3 orphans that our family has committed to supporting. Please meet Janey, Stacey and Batman. They have bonded together in the absence of their mother and we plan to keep them together as a family.
With your help, we can give these orphaned horses a home, pasture and care that they need. Your donation will help us meet that goal and help educate others on the nurse-mare foal industry's practice of abandoning or destroying these wonderful animals. Not only will you get a great looking t-shirt, but you are welcome to visit and get to know these youngsters, knowing you helped make it possible.

I was unaware of nurse-mares until my cousin Lisa began her journey of trying to adopt 3 precious foals. It is nice to know I'll have a small part in helping those babies find their forever home!
