Hello to
all!
My name
is Jasmine. I am a junior at Western Michigan
University majoring in Marketing with a triple minor in Event Management, Music
and General Business.
Why I
need your help:
This summer, I am about to experience the most incredible
opportunity! I will be interning in Washington D.C. as the National
Summit Conference Organizing Intern for the National Caucus of Environmental
Legislators. What the heck does that even mean? I'll be organizing a
conference for over 150 legislators that are passionate about
an environmentally progressive world, and then running it in
Minneapolis, MN in August! In addition to this amazing gig, I have been
accepted (and am hoping!) to take a class at George Washington University! The
class I aim to complete, Advanced Marketing Management, is a graduate
level course and has been approved by the Chair of the Marketing Department at
WMU to take place of my capstone course for my major. The kicker? I've been
approved for it before I have even taken 4 of the pre-requisites, which is
pretty unheard of in its own right.
All in
all, housing in Washington D.C. is quite pricey and with that,
courses at private universities are also expensive. Taking the cake, I was
accepted to these programs after all deadlines at WMU for scholarships
have passed.
What
does this design mean?
Did you know that Washington D.C. is considered the #2 Most "Carpe
Diem" City in the United States according to the Huffington Post? (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/29/the-most-carpe-diem-citien5050239.html) What
more fitting than for it to be on this shirt?
"Save the World" is in this design because my
internship is focused on progressive environmental legislation!
The shirt you will receive is made with 50% recycled water bottles. Does it get cooler? I don't think so.
So I
need your help! Anything and everything would be a blessing, from just
purchasing the shirt to...well, I won't limit you. Cheesy smile

This is too amazing an opportunity to pass up! I really hope u enjoy it!
We are so proud of you! In August we'll sit outside the conference center in Minneapolis, in case you have no time to visit. We'll wear the green shirt. Maybe the legislators will notice as you usher them in. So exciting! "D
So proud!! Go conquer the world!
