About this campaign
In October 2015, our 10 year old son, Paul Ulysses Jimenez was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that forms on soft tissue. While we prepare to fight alongside Paulie and beat this horrible disease, we are learning a lot about the lack of funding that goes to Pediatric Cancer and we want to do something to help raise awareness and raise funding to help all children who have to endure battles with cancer. Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the United States, according to the National Cancer Institute, with nearly 16,000 children and adolescents diagnosed each year. And yet, less than 4 percent of all funding at the National Cancer Institute goes to pediatric research, and that’s for all 12 major forms of the disease. Most clinical trials are for drugs to treat adults. In the last 20 years, only two major drugs have been developed for children. - ALL PROFITS from #PaulieStrong T-Shirts will do directly to Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Whether you are able to give now or not, helping me spread the word about my cause would be greatly appreciated. Sending an email to your friends and family and posting the link to my Booster page https://www.booster.com/pauliestrong on sites like Facebook will grow my base of supporters and help me get to my goal.
