Levi and Pigalina - breaking the barriers of love!

Two animal residents of the PIGS Animal Sanctuary are Levi and Pigalina! Levi is a rescued pitbull who grew up at the sanctuary. His sweet nature has helped so many animals overcome their past. Those with shattered souls, battered and weak bodies, those who were treated so badly that they were afraid to trust again. Levi became their nurse, their healer, their friend.

One such animal was Pigalina, a orphaned piglet who was lonely and afraid. When she was only a few days old, she met Levi and they became inseparable. Levi allowed her to nurse on his ear, nibble on his whiskers, climb on his back and nestle close to him for naps.

A video posted on PIGS Facebook page of the two went viral. Watched by over 2 million people! They defied stereotypes by becoming friends. In a time when the internet is filled with violence, tragedy, hate and disrespect, a orphaned piglet and aitbull broke t barriers of love.

Levi and Pigalina are just two of the hundreds of animals who have found healing, peace and learned to love again at the PIGS Animal Sanctuary.
