About this campaign

We are raising awareness and finances through the Jimmy Fund to help Dana-Farber's thoracic department research and better understand lung cancers. The money gathered will help further their understanding of how to better combat and control incurable and aggressive lung cancers, paving us closer to one day find an answer. Statistically, lung cancer patients are diagnosed at later stages when the disease has become resilient to most treatments against common, modern-day chemo and immunotherapies. To better chances of hope and survival, this beast must be understood on a molecular level through studying MUC proteins secreted by such advanced cancers as part of the cell work learning CAR-T cell targets in lung cancers. Proceeds will cover for the manufacturing of the shirts and directly reach the given-name fund for Mallory "Pixie" Harris at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's thoracic department which specializes in such cancers.

The Pixie Fundraiser's "Run for the Lung" runner's shirt is designed with an array of pixies and ribbons in different colors and combinations to highlight the numerous cancers too many people - both young and old - fight and survive every day. See how many you can identify and pick a ring to start swinging in. Everything and anything helps, from donations to sharing and raising awareness. Everyone's support helps us save some lives.

Mallory Elyse "Pixie Dust" Harris was more than a wonderful woman - She was a bright light in a bleak world who never let the darkness dim her shine. Even when she was diagnosed with stage iv pulmonary adenocarcinoma at the very young age of 33. This type of cancer grows in the lining around the lungs, spreading into the surrounding tissue, turning the respiratory into something that resembles calcified stone. As it advances and grows, it spreads rapid and aggressively like an uncontrolled wild fire through the dried summer brush. She underwent focused radiation for metastases as far as her brain, chemo and immunotherapy to battle the spots on her liver and the mass on her lung where everything originated, bravely attempted a clinical trial, but all to no avail as the disease was already too advanced to save her when it was finally discovered in August 2025. By March 5th 2026 her loved ones had lost her. We come together here, with amazing affiliates such as Custom Ink and Dana-Farber, and as far as we can muster to try and help others from suffering the disease that stole a treasured soul from us and made her an angel far too soon. Please consider contributing to our fundraiser with Custom Ink to help direct more funds into specific lung cancer research at Dana-Farber, one of the world's top cancer institutions. Together, we can continue to defy cancer by spreading awareness and supporting research, better chances for survivors, and making a difference by giving hope to those afflicted and effected by this rampant and ruthless disease. Thank you for visiting and any contributions made - even spreading the word.
