Pawsitive Kids Camp Fundraiser

Pawsitive Kids Camp, Inc, a 501(c)3 is a dream come true! Piloted in the Summer of 2013, this camp grew to become it's own non-profit after hosting 6 successful camps. This collaborative camp offers a unique opportunity for children in grades 2-5 and 6-8. Campers are matched with a dogawaiting adoption from Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue and during the week of camp they will learn dog safety, how train the dog to help it become more adoptable, but most importantly work on their own self esteem, behavior management, self control, and all through animal assisted play therapy techniques. This is a win-win with licensed mental health professionals and dog trainers as the camp counselors!


Some featured learning for campers includes: what qualities to look for in a pet, experience first hand what is involved in caring for and training a dog, and how to provide a healthy lifestyle for themselves and a dog.

Over the course of the week long camp, campers will be preparing puppies to be adopted for the closing adoption event, while improving the dog and campers social skills and emotional health.

At the end of each camp week, the campers host an adoption event featuring their camp dog for Brooke’s Legacy in hopes of finding these dogs that were once on death row their forever family!
