About this campaign

The Power of Pink is a breast cancer risks awareness campaign designed in community partnership with the News Review, the Community Cancer Center and Brooke Communication. Breast health education empowers women to take control of their health by educating them about their body and providing important breast cancer resources.

This 30-day awareness campaign will take place from October 1st through October 31st. The goal is to raise community awareness of the risk factors surrounding breast cancer and promote the healthy lifestyle changes to lower risks.

Your power of pink packet contains the following:

i. Understanding your individual risks by talking to healthcare providers and family about health history.

ii. The importance of getting screening and local available resources for screening.

iii. Aiding women in understanding what their normal breasts look and feel like and the importance of reporting any changes.

iv. The importance of making healthy lifestyle changes to lower individual risk factors.
