About this campaign

In the mist of a global pandemic that Philadelphia sanitation department finds itself in a shortage of PPE and cleaning supplies, this fundraiser is going to support purchasing adequate PPE and cleaning supplies across the whole department.

As a sanitation worker during a pandemic I place my life on the line every single day, Without adequate PPE and cleaning supplies it makes my job very difficult. If I feel like this, I know my coworker do, so I want to use this as a way for us to support ourselves and to purchase PPE ourselves to make sure that we are always in a safe and clean work environment.

Sanitation workers deserve respect and honor as essential workers! People literally treat them like trash by putting out their waste in the most chaotic and disrespectful manner and the city is not doing anything to show them love and respect!
