About this campaign

In 1975, Kenneth S. Norris and James C. Roush established this dauntless group of biologists, students, and community volunteers at UC Santa Cruz. The Predatory Bird Research Group achieved the full recovery of the once critically endangered peregrine falcon in Western North America under the direction of Brian J. Walton, and has continued conservation research on peregrines and other raptors.

I’ve been watching these birds for years and they’ve given me so much enjoyment and nerves.

I came here in 1984 to go SF State and have lived here ever since. I remember working downtown and hearing that falcons were nesting on the PGE building and was blown away! Then when the cameras were installed I was glued to my computer. Thank you!

with all the bad news out. there, this group brought back populations of our raptors after DDT was banned. Continue to support this success story.

The San Jose City Hall peregrines have been central to my experience at SJSU since 2006. Thank you, PBRG, for helping to save this species in this part of the US!

I am supporting this campaign for all the research and help that was given to the Berkeley Falcons and helping the falcons survive.

Keep up the great work! With new threats like avian influenza and industrial contaminants, raptors need our support more than ever.

What? Are you kidding me? The world’s fastest animal lives at City Hall!! Any opportunity to support the passion of the community which follow and supports cannot be passed up.
