Quave Lab Student Research Fundraiser

OUR STORY
We study the botanical ingredients used in traditional medicines for infectious disease to discover new solutions for one of the world’s most pressing medical issues: antibiotic resistance. Our research has already shown that some medicinal plants are good sources of novel compounds that can be used to either enhance or restore the efficacy of existing lines of antibiotics. History of Student Research Training
Dr. Quave has a long track record of success in training students and inspiring the next generation of physicians and scientists! To date, she has trained 64 undergraduate students in research (64% women, 8% minority, and 2% disabled). She has coauthored publications with them 10 times and coauthored poster presentations 42 times. Five of these students completed honors theses with her, all achieving highest honors. Students completing training in the lab have earned entry to top medical schools, doctoral programs, MD-PhD programs and MPH programs in the country.
