About this campaign

Help save at-risk shelter dogs in the Southeast and Appalachia by purchasing a t-shirt! RADAR helps by providing grants for vet care, so that qualified rescues can pull the dogs to safety!

What is RADAR?!? We are a nonprofit organization, and we provide grants to help get at-risk shelter dogs out of shelters and in to rescue!

Since we started in January 2012, we have helped over 1,900 dogs! Visit our website for more details!

Our focus is primarily on smaller, overcrowded, and underfunded rural shelters that typically operate below the radar in the Southeast and Appalachia.

Our efforts are aimed at helping otherwise adoptable dogs in these shelters who are least likely to get adopted (older dogs, black dogs, special-needs dog, medical-needs dogs), regardless of breed. We also help dogs who are on a shelter's euthanasia list; these dogs have very little time.

By covering part or all of the costs of necessary veterinary care, etc. for these dogs most at risk, they are far more likely to be taken by a rescue. We assist rescues that commit to these at-risk dogs with veterinary care, temporary boarding, transport, and other costs. We also highlight at-risk dogs on our website and through social media to help get them on the radar to be adopted or taken by a rescue, and to increase awareness of the plight of at-risk dogs.

RADAR helps save so many dogs in the rural south. They allow rescues to help more dogs, even those that need costly medical treatment (heartworm positive).

Over the years, RADAR has saved the lives of hundreds of our shelter dogs. Now we know our heartworm positive dogs will be treated and find forever homes.
