About this campaign
UPDATE:
In light of the health pandemic, Cirque Us believes it has a social responsibility to cancel all performances of RagTag until further notice. We originally launched this campaign to help subsidize the cost of travel on our spring 2020 tour, but without ticket sales, we have limited resources to pay those who were involved in the remounting of RagTag.
While there are other overhead costs associated with our rehearsal creation period, we want to focus all of our efforts into paying our artists.
In times like these, it is especially hard for freelance artists to find work, and even though we can’t guarantee them job security, we can at least try to hand them a check.
By donating to this campaign, you will not only receive some sweet Cirque Us swag, but you will also be supporting artists during a time of crisis and getting us a step closer to performing when touring is no longer a public safety issue.
On behalf of everyone at Cirque Us, we hope that you stay safe, healthy, and we are sure that we will see you down the road!
Campaign Deadline extended until March 24th!
Goal: $5,000

Since its founding in 2016, Cirque Us has developed into a multifaceted organization that not only produces original full-length works, but also provides educational resources, such as camps and workshops for people of all ages and abilities. Despite many obstacles and financial hardships, Cirque Us produced and toured RagTag: A Circus in Stitches in the summer of 2019.
We are excited to announce that 2020 has the most venue presented shows to date. Additionally, ticket sales from three of the performances will go directly towards various noble organizations and scholarship funds. Our mission is to spread circus magic through both a performative and educational lens, and we are grateful and humbled that we can continue to give back to the communities that have inspired us over the years.
Taking seven circus artists and a van full of circus equipment to five states is no easy feat. Between van rentals, gas, tolls, and parking fees, travel is one of our largest overhead expenses. We are trying to raise $2,000 to help subsidize the cost of our travel.
Here’s where you come in. You have the opportunity to buy some sweet Cirque Us swag. When purchasing a RagTag shirt, you're not only offsetting our travel costs, but you’re enabling us to employ circus artists, create jobs for technical support, fuel the contemporary circus movement in America, and bring joy to all walks of life. You are helping us spread the circus magic. If you are not in a financial position to donate to the campaign, you can still help us by spreading the word about RagTag, and inviting friends and family to one of our many stops on the Spring 2021 Tour.
Additionally, if you would like to donate a T-shirt back to Cirque Us you can make note of it during check out!
On behalf of everyone at Cirque Us, thank you for supporting our small company with big dreams.
