About this campaign

The second edition of MWP's REALITY TV: AN INSIDER'S GUIDE TO TELEVISION'S HOTTEST MARKET is being released on June 1, 2016.  

While the book has become a staple at many media schools, author Troy DeVolld (a producer for a number of top reality programs over the past 15 years) is responsible for publicity costs, and would like YOUR help in being able to offset costs surrounding a small tour in university towns key to the book's success.






In 2011, MWP, the largest publisher of books on film and television (including SHOT BY SHOT, SAVE THE CAT and THE WRITER'S JOURNEY), released my book, REALITY TV: AN INSIDER'S GUIDE TO TELEVISION'S HOTTEST MARKET.  

REALITY TV was and is the only title by MWP dealing with reality television's complex story process, and while it's become enormously popular with media students, academics and aspiring reality pros as a number-one best seller, it's up to me to make sure the word gets out about the second release, which I'll be doing in many ways including the release of a new t-shirt every month here on Booster through June.

This tee-shirt reprints a phrase used in the book's original campaign: "Reality TV is a fad... just like cars and cell phones." Reality TV is here to stay, and it's up to future generations of reality pros to make sure meaningful, well-constructed stories make it to air.
