About this campaign

I am a disabled woman business owner from Rochester, NY, and because of my disability, traditional jobs will not hire me. I created my own business so I could work with dignity, purpose, and without limitations. Even though I am talented and creative, I face major financial barriers, including bad credit and no family support because my loved ones are also living in poverty.

I know the world — especially Western New York and Rochester — needs what I have to offer. Our community is often overlooked, but there is so much positivity, talent, and purpose here. Through my business, I want to inspire youth and young adults with disabilities to believe that humanity still cares, that their gifts matter, and that God will send people to help elevate them into their purpose.

This fundraiser will help me stabilize my business, support myself, and eventually create financial opportunities for others with disabilities and those in need. I am deeply grateful for every person who believes in my vision.

When I reach my goal, I plan to host a special meet‑and‑greet for the first 150 supporters who stood with me from the beginning. Thank you so much for your kindness, your belief, and your support.

Sincerely, Josalyn Jackson

I am a 42‑year‑old African American woman, born and raised in Rochester, NY, and the last living child of my mother. Creativity has always been my safe place and my strength. I have a deep passion for entertainment, business, technology, and learning new things. Whether I’m making YouTube videos, writing songs, designing logos, or building branding strategies, creating brings me joy and helps me release stress.

I live with a disability and I also fight obesity, but I refuse to give up on myself. Because traditional jobs will not hire me, I built my own business so I could work with dignity, purpose, and freedom. Every project I touch, I give it my whole heart. My creativity is not just a talent—it’s how I survive, how I heal, and how I inspire others.

My dream is to grow my business so I can represent Rochester in a positive light and show youth and adults with disabilities that they can still rise, still create, and still build a future. I want my story to be proof that even when life is hard, you can still choose purpose, passion, and faith.
