About this campaign
In the wake of Hurricane Ian on September 28, 2022, Shalimar Cottages & Motel was one of the few properties on Sanibel Island to not only be damaged but wholly washed away. As wind and water turned every building at Shalimar into rubble, it also swept under the small paradise thousands of visitors enjoy every year. It is impossible to articulate how stunned and devastated we are by this sudden disaster. However, Sanibel is our home, and we have stood here since 1959. Countless memories have been shared here, relationships made, and friendships nourished. We want to remain the place where this happens. WE WILL REBUILD.
