About this campaign

MTB advocacy group that publishes a free trail guide/magazine for New York’s Southern Adirondacks (including Warren, Saratoga, and Fulton counties) biennially.

About Ride On!
Ride On! began as an idea between father and daughter Dave Matthews and Alex Kochon during the winter of 2018–2019: to create a free, comprehensive mountain bike trail guide showcasing the incredible riding opportunities throughout New York’s Southern Adirondacks. Inspired by GRIP, a trail guide published in Vermont’s Rutland County, they set out to build a resource that would help riders discover new trails while supporting the local mountain biking community.

In May 2019, they published and distributed 10,000 free copies of the inaugural Ride On! Warren County MTB Trail Guide and partnered with The Hub and Wilderness Property Management to launch the first Ride On! Weekend—a two-day celebration of mountain biking that supported local trail-building efforts and helped kick off the riding season.

The guide continued to grow. In 2022, Ride On! expanded to include Saratoga County, with another 10,000 free copies distributed throughout the region with support from Adirondack Sports & Fitness. The Ride On! Weekend also returned in partnership with the Upper Hudson Trails Alliance.

Today, four biennial editions have been published and distributed across New York and neighboring states. Ride On! remains a passion project and operates as a near break-even venture. The support of our advertisers, contributors, volunteers, and readers makes it possible.

Every Ride On! shirt purchased helps support future editions of the guide and our ongoing mission to promote mountain biking, encourage outdoor recreation, and connect more people with the outstanding trail systems of the Southern Adirondacks.
