Buy a T-Shirt, Help Preserve Local History

The Safety Harbor Public Library has currently has over 1000 pages of historic Safety Harbor Herald newspapers with scattered dates ranging from 1925 through 1989 preserved and accessible to the public. The newspapers areencapsulated inMylar sleeves. Grant funding allowed the Library to complete this project. Additional grants allowedthe Libraryto further the project and the Library begin digitizingthe Safety Harbor Herald collection. In 2013, the Library received a donation of additional newspapers from the Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center. The Library would like to add these to the digital collection to further preserve the history of Safety Harbor and the surrounding area. This collection is valuable for local historians and anyone interested in the past. This fundraiser will assist in the digitization of the donated newspapers and allow them to be shared online with the world. Estimated cost is $2.00 per sheet, with an estimated$3,000 needed to complete the project. Help us preserve local history by purchasing a t-shirt for yourself or as an upcoming holiday gift.
