About this campaign

This booster is to help pay for medical expenses for our miracle baby Jordan, a 1 year old Boston Terrier that was brought into the rescue with a severe intestinal blockage in his intestines.

We were contacted by a very responsible lady who had a one year old Boston with a severe blockage in his intestines. She decided to do the right thing by him and surrender him to OBR for an emergency surgery to save his life. She has small children and just couldn't give him the surgery that he needed. After a trip to her vet, she was informed with devastating news. Either he got his money up front...or she could have put her sweet baby put to sleep. Jordan's one year old birthday was on March 7th, 2014 and he wouldn't have survived to see his birthday in the condition he was in. He lost a severe amount of weight over a couple of days. He was throwing up everything that went down, dehydrated and was even too weak to stand, when we took him in. He weighed a mere 8.7 lbs. She immediately went home after the vet visit and searched for Humane Society of Tulsa. She tried to open the society page, but it had an error and would not work. The very next result of her search was Oklahoma Boston Rescue. OBR does not come up under a humane society search. We believe that God brought Jordan to us for a purpose. She reached out to us, just hoping and praying that we could help save her little man. We KNEW we had to try and save him!! Jordan has already been a rescue once. She saved him as a puppy from horrible conditions.
Since then, he has been seen by two vets, had two surgeries, two blood transfusions, three albumin transfusion, a plasma transfusion and numerous days in hospitalization with fluids, pain meds and antibiotics. He is still not out of the woods yet, but has come miles from where he was.
This little guy is a miracle. God has brought him through, when he should have already left us. He had a hematocrit level 4, at one point. That is barely enough to sustain life. He is a fighter. He will survive. We COULD NOT have done it without all of our wonderful followers praying, donating and sharing!! THANK YOU!!! Baby Jordan has truly stolen everyone's heart!
