Say Hi Day 2026

Say Hi Day was inspired by Joseph Anthony Cinotti, an incredible 15-year-old young man who spent his life greeting everyone he passed with a cheerful “Hi.” The reactions he received were beautiful, genuine, and unforgettable. Joseph showed us how powerful those two simple words can be. He held everyone accountable to be polite, to be human, and to remember that every person in this life matters. Joseph, who had special needs, passed away in 2018. Since then, our family has made it our life’s mission to keep Joseph’s spirit alive. Creating Say Hi Day is one of the most meaningful ways we can continue sharing his message with the world. So many people tell our family how Joseph reminded them to simply say hi and be kind—and how that small moment stayed with them long after. Joseph left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and we are proud to continue his tradition. We are asking everyone to wear their shirts on Thursday, June 11, 2026, to show their support and help spread Joseph’s message of kindness. Together, we can keep Joseph’s spirit alive and remind the world that something as simple as saying “Hi” can make all the difference.
