No Bulldog Left Behind - A "Shady Paws" Fundraiser

There are no retirement homes for bulldogs that have been tossed away by their owners due to age, illness or special need. For those dogs, bulldog rescue has developed the "Shady Paws" program.

Shady Pawsis a program that helps provide the medical care for the needs of senior, special needs or hospicebulldogs that areo onger wanted by their families. Our rescue program partners with families to provide loving and caring homes to these dogs that would otherwisehave no home. These families are making a commitment to take a bulldog into their home that would otherwise notave a place to call their own. By working with the rescue, these homes can provide the care for these dogs that they need and deserve. Without these homes, many of these dogs would pass away in a kennel or shelter, often times alone. The Shady Paws program makes sure that all of these dogs end up in a home where they are loved and cared for.



The Shady Paws programhelps cover the expense and care needs of senior, hospiceand special needs bulldogs. Care for these dogs can be costly - many require medications, routine vet care, special food and more. For a special needs dog, the cost can be particularly high as many of them require specialized vet visits or items like diapers or wheelchairs.

Not everyone can undertake giving this type of care, but everyone can be part of sharing in the care of these bulldogs and helping tosupport Shady Paws for these otherwise unwanted bulldogs.

All of the dogs pictured here are examples of dogs that need this type of program. Wendy (top picture)was a senior dog who was able to spend her final years in a loving home thanks to Shady Paws. Lulu (middle picture) is a special needs dog who needs to wear a diaper for life and Shady Paws provides for her care. Kanellah (bottom picture) has a heart condition and requires special care and medications provided by the Shady Paws program. These dogs represent the dogs that will benefit from the Shady Paws program when you purchase a shirt!
