About this campaign

Sharktoberfest 2026, hosted by 501(c)(3) nonprofit's Ocean Science Expedition Academy (OSEA) and the Vermillion Sea Institute (VSI), is a free, online, community-driven celebration of shark research, conservation, and collaboration. Through accessible presentations, digital resources, and conversations led by researchers, educators, and conservationists, Sharktoberfest connects the public with the people and ideas shaping the future of shark science.

By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, we aim to increase understanding of sharks and their ecosystems, expand access to marine science, inspire the next generation of conservation leaders, and strengthen a global network committed to advancing shark research, education, and stewardship.

This merch is a single, limited run, available only during Sharktoberfest 2026. Your purchase directly supports the research programming led by OSEA and VSI: field research on sharks and rays, the free public events and digital resources that make Sharktoberfest possible, and the community programs that bring people into shark science who might not otherwise have a way in.
