About this campaign
20 years ago In 1998, some friends of a family whose son had leukemia approached University Presbyterian Church with a challenge: how can a local church care for families who have a seriously ill child at Seattle Children’s Hospital, only 2 miles away?
Since then, the Side-by-Side family has been sharing relational support and delightful distraction with kids and families navigating the waters of childhood illness. Every day, we remember: we all have something to give AND something to receive as we make memories together.

Love everything to do with this wonderful ministry!
I went to the Carnival day at Side-by-Side last summer and the work they do their is amazing. But with my nursing schedule it would be hard for me to participate this year. So this is a cool way support side-by-side and also share awareness.
Volunteering with Side by Side has been a beautiful part of my life the past couple of years. I fully believe in the mission of Side by Side and I love having the opportunity to support the mission.
We benefited from Camp Side by Side several years ago when our daughter was on chemotherapy. Some of our favorite memories at camp! The volunteers were amazing, Experienced such focused love and attention like never before. Cried all week.
