Smiley's Smile Childhood Cancer Awareness

About this campaign

I am a 2-time childhood cancer thriver, smiler, and storyteller. In May of 2023, I published "Smiley's Smile" which is a picturebook to help educate children on cancer and empower them to be a part of their healthcare experiences. Since publishing "Smiley's Smile" I continue to spread my mission of sharing smiles with the world through being an advocate in the community for childhood cancer prevention, long-term survivorship, and overall health and well-being for all people. The phrase "It Takes a Team" is important to me as my entire community is what got me through both cancer diagnoses and overcoming long-term side effects today. I believe courage, support, and friendship are needed to get through any hardship within life and teams are critical to achieving these. With September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, at the end of September, I will be donating to organization(s) that support children and families who experience a childhood cancer diagnosis.
