About this campaign

The only thing predictable about rescue is that it is unpredictable. This means that we are often taking in more pups than we plan to on any given week and run into unexpected medical expenses. In order to continue saving those that need us most we launch our annual t-shirt fundraiser. This helps us build our medical fund and allows us to help the more urgent medical cases that are deteriorating in the shelter.

Our two most current medical cases that will benefit from this fundraiser are Lady and Daniel. Both are heartworm positive pups that need to undergo treatment in addition to other medical needs.

Daniel suffers from a 3 broken bones in his foot. Right now he needs repeated splint changes and x-rays. Just having a pup recovering from the same issue we estimate that Daniel's broken foot alone will cost approximately $1,000.

Lady is a senior so with age usually comes excess medical issues. Upon Lady's spay the vet found a mammary tumor. We will have to run pre-op test on Lady including x-rays. She will then need the tumor surgically removed and biopsied. Depending on the results of the biopsy she made need further treatment. We were given an estimate of $800-$1,000 for her mammary tumor removal.
