About this campaign
Red, white and blue. Speed, splendor and glory. The story of America’s Flagship, the SS United States, is a story of the nation’s confidence, pride and ambition. The largest, sole-surviving, and greatest ever American ocean liner smashed the transatlantic speed record using only two-thirds of her power. It’s a record that has stood the test of time. Against all odds, America’s Flagship remains proudly afloat, and with your help, we can still save her.

Why Not. My Parents fabricated the state flowers and birds sculptures for the liner and I have been on her in Philly. She Must be saved!
Live in Philly area and see the Ship often what an amazing sight. Wish I was in a position to help more take care and best of luck keep up the good work. God bless the ship and all your volunteers.
We need to save her!
Love “Big U” and continue to have hope for her future.
We need to keep this beautiful ship alive!
I landed on November 30, 1968 in New York comming from Wilhelms Hafen in Germany. I was seasick the entire tripand could not enjoy much of the ship. Also at those times you were not permitted to roam the ship . My profession is Interior Architecture.
Wonderful memories of 2 transatlantic crossings on the S.S. United States. What glamour and pride.
I believe this ship should be saved and restored for the sake of future generations to be able to experience first-hand.
Although she looks rough, the Big U is structurally sound and ready for a new lease on life. Think of the possibilities!
