About this campaign

** DESIGN UPDATE
Due to embroidery space constraints, we had to adjust our image. We were able to incorporate the Hawaiian word "PONO." Pono has many meanings, one of which is "... to do the right thing." Ohana, the Hawaiian word for family was also added.
. Thank you for the continued support!

15 Lahaina firefighters lost their homes in the recent Maui wildfires. There are a lot of moving parts currently and as the days pass it will more clear where the funds can be most impactful as the damages and needs are assessed. The Lahaina house is still working hard day and night responding to ongoing fires while facing the repercussions of impending storms that could impact the relief and recovery efforts.

My brother-in-law, Aaron is a proud member of the Maui Fire Department & my husband Noah, is a member of the New Bedford Fire Department. The connection between the historic cities of New Bedford to Lahaina is undeniable. The whalers setting sail from New Bedford, Mass., made regular stops in Lahaina for provisions and rest, making them some of the first regular visitors to Maui. The devastation that the people of Maui are enduring is unfathomable. Noah & I were hoping to support the firefighters of the Lahaina House by setting up this fundraiser. We are relying on the New Bedford Firefighter's Local 841 to disperse the funds directly to the firefighters of the Lahaina fire house.
