About this campaign

Michelle Emson says that; "Exclusion is derived from fear, ignorance, and power, whilst inclusion is derived from love, compassion, and respect." We believe that, in most cases, education leads to open hearts when it comes to inclusion and respect for transgender people. That is why we believe in the new curriculum we are building.

We had a micro-grant from HRC to get started, but now need additional funds to finish the project.

And we are close! With a little help, we can finish this work this year and spend next year working with faith communities and other organizations to help them live into love.

When things get rough, the anchor is a sign of safety in the storm, a symbol of how our hearts can remain rooted in love, hope, and compassion.

Our goal is to sell 100 shirts. We have to sell 48 to go to print. Buy a shirt and wear it to proudly show your support for the transgender, nonbinary, and intersex people. Please share this fundraiser with others. We are only live for three weeks in order to try to ensure shipping and arrival before Christmas.

Bonus: all shirts are made from sustainable fabrics.

RIC Real Talk believes that people are called to resiliency, inclusion, and compassion for one another, to live centered in hope and love. We provide training and resources for organizations trying to live into their own commitments to those same things.

For the past few months, a team has been working to develop a curriculum and training, understanding that not everyone understands when discussions turn to binary identity or gender. Too many people are only exposed to the news stories and skewed perceptions.

As a two-spirit person and the parent of a wonderful transgender person, RIC Real Talk's Executive Director and Founder, Kimi Floyd Reisch has dedicated their life to expanding the boundaries and widening love in our world. This new curriculum is just one of several planned to help that work. Learn more at https://www.ricrealtalk.com/.
