About this campaign
Our daughter Hadlee Mae was born in October 2017 with a rare heart condition known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, or HLHS for short. She was recommended for the Norwood Procedure, a 3-surgery process to shut off the left side of her heart and route everything to function through the right side. To date, Hadlee has had 2 of these 3 heart surgeries, but unfortunately is unable to have the final surgery as her heart function was gradually continuing to fail. It wa d termined by a team of doctors and surgeons at Children's Hospital that the best way to ensure the highest quality of life for Hadlee would be to proceed with a full heart transplant.
After being listed on the National Donor Registry beginning 2/8/2020, Hadlee received a Heart Transplant on 5/28/2020!!!
Hadlee is currently in the CICU at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in recovery.
Funds raised from #HADLEESTRONG purchases will help our family with medical related expenses from the transplant process, which can total on average over $1.4 million dollars for the surgery and pre/post hospital care.
Thank you for your support and God Bless!

I went to nursing school with Felicia. I have a brother that was born with this same condition in 1986 and they didn’t know enough about it to help him. He was alive for 1 day before passing. My mom loves this story and how well Hadlee is doing.
God answers prayers and calls us to be a blessing to others. Praising the Lord for providing healing for His little girl!
So thrilled for Hadlee’s new heart. God Bless!
I love Little Miss Hadlee so much, Your family has inspired me with your strength and faith. Thank you for sharing your story.
I’ve been following Hadlee’s story since last year. I’m so happy she received a new heart. I can't believe how fast she's recovering and hope she is discharged Tuesday. So grateful that her donor’s family gave the gift of life. Continuing to pray.
