Surf survived months on the streets after being abandoned and was finally found severely underweight and in desperate need of medical care. Now safely back with the rescue who originally care for him, his road to recovery is just beginning.
Surf is facing ongoing veterinary appointments, diagnostic testing, treatment, nutritious food, and continued monitoring. He also has neurological symptoms, including a persistent head tilt, that may require advanced testing such as an MRI.
Proceeds from every Surf’s Voice shirt will help support Surf’s ongoing medical and recovery expenses through Percy’s Angelic Cat Rescue.
But Surf’s Voice is becoming about something even bigger than one little cat.
It is about reminding people that animals depend completely on us. They cannot make a phone call, ask a neighbor for help, or tell someone when they have been abandoned, neglected, frightened, or hungry.
So we will speak for them.

My name is Surf.
Once upon a time, I was a playful little kitten with toys to chase, people who loved me, and a rescue family determined to give me the life I deserved.
Then my world changed.
I ended up outside, alone, trying to survive for months. I couldn’t call my rescue. I couldn’t tell anyone I was hungry. I couldn’t explain that I needed help.
I’m just a cat.
By the time I was finally found, my little body showed just how hard I had been fighting to stay alive. I was painfully thin, weak, and facing medical problems that will take time—and a whole lot of care—to understand and treat.
But here’s the important part: I made it back.
I’m safe again with the people who loved me from the beginning. I have food in my belly, a warm place to sleep, veterinary care, and humans who have promised that I will never have to fight alone again.
My recovery won’t happen overnight. There will be veterinary visits, testing, treatment, good nutrition, and possibly advanced neurological testing to determine why I hold my head tilted.
And somewhere along the way, my humans realized something:
Maybe my story could become more than a story about what happened to me. Maybe it could become a voice.
That’s how Surf’s Voice was born.
A voice for the abandoned. A voice for the neglected.
A voice for the animals who cannot tell someone they’re hurting. A voice reminding every pet owner that adoption is a commitment—not just for the easy days, but for a lifetime.
When you wear this shirt, you’re helping with my recovery—but you’re also helping carry that message into the world.
I couldn’t ask for help when I needed it.
Now I have a whole army of people speaking for me. And we’re just getting started.
