Your support helps horses like Jude
Jude suffers from a host of chronic issues that existed be for he came to SWFHR on Feb. 27, 2020. After being with SWFHR for about 1 1/2 months, on April 13th Jude showed significant signs of a neurological disorder called (EPM) which affects balance and motor control of body parts and a few other things. SEE THE VIDEO HERE. We had our vet out and blood tests were done to confirm his condition. Neurologic disorders such as EPM are frightening to deal with but proper care and medication, we can stop the progression of the protozoan that causes this issue. And that... comes at a cost above and beyond average daily expenses.
Jude today (May 3rd) has been medically treated for just over 2 weeks of a 1-month treatment routine and is well on his way to a recovered state. Medication is not all he has needed, extra feeding has been a need as the stress of the EPM causes horses to lose weight. See more about Jude HERE. I meet Tina several years back when she helped save some horses from a person who didn't need anymore horses and we have been friends ever since. I love watching the rescue grow and help whenever I can from the East Coast.
Celebrating 10 Years in horse Rescue is a pretty big deal, proud of this amazing group of dedicated folks.
