About this campaign

There are thousands of Tarlov Cyst Disease sufferers who need assistance and support! Help us kick off a non profit to help educate, support, and assist those suffering with this rare, painful disease!

Tarlov Cyst Disease is a little known, rare debilitating disease. Tarlov Cysts are cysts usually on the lower spine (sacrum area) that, if left untreated, can cause permanent nerve damage and chronic pain. Very few doctors will treat Tarlov Cysts, and there are thousands of people suffering all over the world. Because it is so rare, many people are left unable to receive treatment. Many insurance companies will not authorize the needed surgery because it is such a rare disease.

We want to help! Because Tarlov Cysts are so rare, there are very few Neurosurgeons who will treat Tarlov Cysts. Most patients who opt to have surgery must travel a long distance to get the treatment they need.We want to help patients with Tarlov Cysts by offering financial assistance to those who need help getting to and from their surgery site. We want to help bydonating wheelchairs andwalkers to those who can no longer walk without assistance. For those who are fortunate enough to receive surgical treatment, we want to be able to offerpost-surgical assistance. The recovery process can take 1-2 years. We want to be a support system for the patients and their families.

Please consider buying a t-shirt to help raise awareness about Tarlov Cyst Disease and help us start our non-profit so we can begin our journey!

Thank you!

I have Tarlov Cyst. We do need to educate physicians/ medical fields people as well as public awareness @this horrible TC. They do not understand the chronic pains & the frustrations that we faced. Also it robs us of our daily life & our family.

Medical field knows very little about this disease and how to treat it. We need research studies, physicians taught to recognize and treat patients who suffer daily. This is a very painful and debilitating disease.
