About Me 
In April 2013 I found out, at 38, that I had breast cancer. With no family history I was lucky to find my lump when I did. My husband lost his father to lung cancer and my kids were only 13 and 6 when we learned of my diagnosis. Over the past year I have gone through chemotherapy, surgeries, and radiation. It has been a journey for us all and I am so grateful to all my family and friends for their support and love. I have signed up to walk and fundraise in my local Relay For Life event. Something that is difficult for me to do since I still have bone pain from treatment, but I am ready to get back out there and support others in the fight! 

I hope you will consider purchasing one of these shirts that I have designed and what I will wear for the event. I would love to sell at least 20-50 shirts. All the extra proceeds will be sent to me and given to the American Cancer Society - Relay for Life. Also, it would be great if you would wore your shirt on May 16th to support me as I walk that day.


Why TaTa Warriors
As a child born in the 70s, Star Wars was awesome! Hence the inspiration for my blog name, Tata Wars. I started the blog in 2013 as a way to not only to remember everything going on during my cancer treatment, but as a way to help others. For me, reading other stories from people going through cancer gave me hope and ideas on how to prevent, treat, and deal with side effects (hopefully). Also, the blog was a great way to keep on finding humor in the craziness of cancer.

So, now I feel like all those supporting me are my TaTa Warriors... they are keep me fighting. laughing. living. Hence, three words I love: fight. laugh. live. I will fight this. I will laugh through this. I will live... (and live joyfully)!!!

Why I Participate in a Relay For Life Event
I participate because I know that by raising funds and walking in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event, I will help save lives from cancer. I want to make noise and help finish the fight!

It's overwhelming to think that millions of people will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Often it is someone close to us.

Why I Support the American Cancer Society
Every day, the American Cancer Society helps people take steps to reduce their risk of cancer or find it early, when it is easiest to treat. They provide free information and services to cancer patients throughout their journey. The organization is investing in crucial research to  prevent, treat, and ultimately, cure all cancers.
