About this campaign
The Taylor House in Many and the people in our community need our help! Funding has been cut drastically for our shelter. We are trying to raise money for the supplies it takes to keep the house open and running.
If we reach our goal of 100 shirts sold, we will raise $642.00. ALl funds raised will go to Project Celebration Inc.
Shirts will be ready for pickup October 12, 2013 from 9-12 at the Logansport Riverfront. If other arrangements need to be made, you can contact Stella Finch at 318-230-0877. If you need shirt to be mailed, send $4.00 to Stella Finch, 13544 Hwy 5, Logansport, LA 71049. Please make sure to include shipping address inside the envelope. Thank you for your support!!!
The Taylor House is a shelter that offers a variety of free and confidential services:
A positive, caring environment in which begin a new life without violence.
Individual and group support for both children and adults.
Women's support group for both residents and nonresidents.
Assistance for women with disabilities.
Children's support and advocacy.
Non residential services.
The staff provide presentations in order to educate the community about the effects of domestic violence for prevention of violence. Because of several budget cuts, our shelter needs help in obtaining additional supplies needed to keep our shelter open.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During this month, Project Celebration members and volunteers in our area rally together for a walk, vigil and balloon release to remember those who have lost their lives due to domestic violence and to honor survivors. We will wear these shirts proudly as we walk the streets of Logansport on the day of our walk and for days to come.
Please help support the Taylor House and all that they do for the members of our community.
