Can you believe this will be our 3rd One Walk?!! Kai was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on April 9, 2017, a day that forever changed our lives. A day that seems like it was so long ago yet the pain & heartbreak is fresh like it was yesterday. It always will be. It's a diagnosis I pray none of you ever have to experience. The JDRF One Walk is a day for us to come together for Kai & the millions of others who live with this relentless disease every day & show them our love & support.

We are participating in JDRF One Walk® to raise money to create a better future for Kai & the millions of people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

When you have T1D, your pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. This means you must constantly monitor your blood-sugar level, administer insulin, and carefully balance these insulin doses with your eating and activity just to stay alive.

With T1D there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.
