WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Be a shavee! Grow out your hair, spread the word,
and raise money over the next two months. This is
NOT just a male thing. Over the years several
female staff and students have shaved their heads
for this wonderful cause. If you are interested in
being a shavee, join Team TACKLE here. Our shave
date is Saturday, April 11th, at the Morgan Street
Food Hall in Raleigh. Our shave time will be shared
once it has been set.
Support Team TACKLE! You can support the team
by donating directly to Team TACKLE or your
favorite shavee. Here is Team TACKLE's page. Once
team members have registered with the team, you
will be able to find them on the Team TACKLE page
and donate to them individually.
Purchase a t-shirt. All proceeds from t-shirt sales
will be donated to Team TACKLE. "Ship to David" if
you would like to save on shipping and have David
deliver your shirt. "Ship to my address" if you would
like the shirt shipped directly to your home for a
small fee.
Team TACKLE is back for year 20! St. Baldricks is an
organization that raises money and awareness to fight
childhood cancer (for more information check out
StBaldricks.org). Twenty years ago, a group of teachers
formed Team TACKLE. They went several months without
haircuts, raised money, and then went to downtown Raleigh
to have their heads shaved. Over the years, Team TACKLE
has impacted hundreds of families and been a part of
several schools. Team TACKLE has raised over $317,000 in
its existence!
