Stronger together Team Sara!

"You're either a very optimistic person or massively internalizing everything" Dr. Jill Dietz said at my last appointment with her before my surgery. I laughed and said maybe it's a little bit of both. On March 29th my life changed as I knew it, I received the official diagnosis of invasive ductal carcinoma. It began at stage 1 then after surgery it went up to stage 3. All due to the estimated size being much bigger and that it also had traveled into my lymphnods. I am now 6 treatments in with chemotherapy and only 2 more left! From there I will have radiation and lastly hormonal therapy for the next 5 to 10 years. I wouldn't have been able to make it this far through this whole thing without the love and support of my family and friends. Of course things aren't exactly the easiest right now but I cannot give up. I am eternally grateful for everyone who has been there to help carry me so far and to come in my battle against breast cancer.
