About this campaign

The funds from this fundraiser, and any additional donations, will go directly to our robotics student funds. These funds are managed directly by our student group, and will be used specifically for robotics class, parts and/or travel costs to competitions.

The students lost their robot, tools, classroom and more in a fire on February 17th, 2023. Tuesday Feb 21 they traveled to El Dorado HS in El Paso and built a new robot along with parts from Montwood HS. Dr. Gonzales from UTEP generously donated tools and game components. On Friday Feb 24th, just a week after the fire, the team traveled to Lubbock HS to compete in regionals against 36 of the best teams from the Panhandle and West TX. They placed 28th. The judges were impressed with the Purobots' determination and perseverance through the complete season and devastating fire of the previous week. The judges presented them with the prestigious Judges Award!

On March 1st the Purobots found out that they were invited to participate in the State UIL robotics competition held on March 24th in Belton, TX!

Congratulations to Seniors: Ethan and Giselle, Juniors: Laila, Severino, Jen O, and Romina, Sophomores: Brooke, Luna, Rigo and Evan.

Thank you for your consideration and ¡Viva Purobots!
