Thank You Sacred Water - Every Last Drop

Thanks so much for supporting this little drop in the sea of massive efforts to protect water everywhere!! Gift season is here and now so please share this booster campaign far and wide. It ends on 11/11 :)

This September, I had the personal blessing and opportunity to join the Winnemem Wintu Tribe on their 1st Annual #Run4Salmon. I came in offering with my original song "Thank You Sacred Water-Good Way" (listen @ http://saratonehome.org/) as well as my own prayers for the Water, Land and Salmon. It was an amazing journey of prayer, music and action, on foot, bikes, boats, canoes and horses... from the Delta of the Sacramento River (the largest estuary on the West Coast), up through Sacramento Valley, across Shasta Lake by canoe, then up into the McCloud River, aka the Middle Fork of Mt. Shasta and the Winnemems Ancestral Land where we held the Completion Ceremony. <3
The journey was effective, inspirational, challenging and strengthening- Body, Mind and Spirit. So much so that we have already begun planning the 2017 Run 4 Salmon, which you are invited to participate and the funds from this campaign will support. Stay posted at http://winnememwintu.us

I don't feel I am the person to explain the intricacies or complexities of the Winnemem Wintu and what they are facing in regards to Water and their way of Life, but I will post a visual from the Winnemem website that might shed some light on what the Tribe is up to in regards to protecting Water, Salmon and their Culture!!!

PS- FYI One of the main battles at the headwaters on Mt. Shasta is with a Japanese Water Bottling Company you may know as Crystal Geyser- yep, the cheap gallon of really good water at most health food stores. The parent company is called Otsuka Pharmaceuticals; they have built a bottling plant just above the Headwaters of the Mighty Sacramento River in Mt. Shasta City and they are attempting to take 100's of thousands of gallons of water from Mt. Shasta, mostly to sell in Japan. The plans are to MAKE bottles as well as fill them there. This means clean, pristine Shasta water used to make oil based plastic!!! Then shipped very far away from the source, meanwhile Shasta and the surrounding communities are in drought and severe risk of Wild Fire.....need I say more. Please stop supporting Crystal Geyser, Nestlé, and all plastic based water bottles as you can.
