About this campaign
For 24 years, The Beat Within has been providing incarcerated youth and adults with consistent opportunities to share their ideas and life experiences in a safe space that encourages literacy, self-expression, critical thinking skills and healthy supportive relationships with the community.

I love The Beat Within
Because the Beat Within helps incarcerated youth to learn skills to express themselves in writing and also in art.
This program is so important for incarcerated youth because it allows them to express themselves through conversations, art and writing workshops, and then see their work returned to them, in print every two weeks.
I'm a Beat facilitator and will be giving shirts to kids who try hard in the workshops.
