About this campaign
April is Second Chance Month and for a limited time, we’re selling t-shirts to help raise awareness of the importance of second chances for those impacted by the criminal legal system.
More than fifty years ago, the United States embarked on a path of mass incarceration that has led to a staggering increase in the prison population. Today, almost 2 million individuals – disproportionately Black Americans – are incarcerated in our nation’s prisons and jails.

After being 5 years incarcerated, my son was home for just 2 years when he died at 32. Our carceral system is shameful and makes a terrible statement about our qualities as a culture. End mass incarceration and abolish the carceral system.
