About The Ghost Train:
Please note: The 'First Run' of The Ghost Train is on October 31, 2016. Please see the Village of Shorewood website for event details:
http://www.villageofshorewood.org/civicalerts.aspx?aid=123

The Ghost Train is a first-of-its-kind, interactive placemaking public art project serving as a statewide attraction, a gateway into Shorewood and source of pride for residents. Through innovative lighting and sound technology, The Ghost Train crosses the Oak Leaf Trail Bridge twice each evening after dark with bridge illumination lasting approximately 35 to 45 seconds. The bridge will also be lit with general illumination from dust to dawn.

Visitors will travel back in history via The Ghost Train, imagining the round-trip journey of the ‘Twin Cities 400’ operated by the Chicago & North Western Railway from 1935-1963. Touted as the fastest passenger train in the world, the ‘400’ routinely covered the 400 miles between St. Paul, MN and Chicago in just 400 minutes – and that included all station stops in between as it traveled over Shorewood’s Oak Leaf Trail.

Thank you for your support!
